The Blessed Solanus Canoe Pilgrimage is a Diocesan youth event celebrating Blessed Solanus Casey. The event takes place the last week of July to celebrate Blessed Fr. Solanus Casey’s feast day, which is July 30. Come pray and canoe with some of our adventurous priests and seminarians.

The 2021 pilgrimage begins with 8:30 a.m. Mass at St. Felix Catholic Center in Huntington followed by a canoe launch on the Salamonie River around 10:00 a.m. The canoe route for 2021 will include the Salamonie River and Reservoir. Shuttle service, canoes, paddles, life vests, and lunch provided.
Our 2021 canoe pilgrimage will cover about 3 miles. We will also offer some canoe / kayak games and races on the reservoir. After our canoe pilgrimage, we will have hotdogs and ice cream for all participants at the Rustic River Outfitters. Shuttles will return to St. Felix Catholic Center a little after 2:00 p.m.
