Eucharistic Sacred Choral Music – St. Hildegard Society

7:00pm – 8:00pm

O Sacrum Convivium: A Banquet of Sacred Music – Come to St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, Nov 18, at 7 p.m. for a Banquet of Sacred Music offered to you by the St. Hildegard Project. Musical selections are centered on the mystery of the Eucharist and are from the rich tradition of Catholic Sacred music, a treasure greater than that of any other art, according to the Second Vatican Council. The beauty of the music leads us beyond the physical to contemplation of Jesus, truly present in the Eucharist, just as the physical signs of bread and wine lead us to the inner reality that Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist. There will also be opportunity for congregational singing!

The Saint Hildegard Project was recently founded by Jerome Cole of St. Joseph Parish, Mishawaka as a group of professional musicians dedicated to bringing the rich beauty of the Catholic sacred music tradition to future generations through education and performance. Future concerts include Vespers at St. Matthew’s Cathedral, a Christmas concert/fundraiser, and a spring concert. We also have two upcoming workshops for the diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend in conjunction with the Eucharistic Revival.
