Bishop Rhoades has commended The Confraternity of Penitents with the canonical status as a private association of the faithful. Membership in the Confraternity is open to Roman Catholics ages 14 and up. Local group meets in Fort Wayne monthly. The goal is to surrender one’s life to God in all matters and to serve God and neighbor with selfless love.
