The Knights of Columbus Silver Rose Mass and Prayer Service

8:00am – 11:00am

The Knights of Columbus Silver Rose on a nine-month pilgrimage will be the centerpiece of a special Mass and prayer service at St. Thérèse, Little Flower Catholic Church on Saturday, May 4, at 8 a.m. The message of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the promotion of respect for life during this pilgrimage demonstrates the unity between Knights of Columbus in Canada, the United States and Mexico, through a series of prayer services promoting the dignity of all human life and honoring Our Lady.


Both the Silver Rose and a statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe will be on display all weekend for veneration.

Savior of the World: A Concert of Sacred Music

The Ecce Young Adult Choir presents “Savior of the World: A Concert of Sacred Music” at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr., on Saturday, May 4, at 2 p.m. This concert is free and open to the public; no tickets or reservations required.

Notre Dame Children’s Choir Community Festival Concert

3:00pm – 4:00pm

The University of Notre Dame Children’s Choir presents its annual NDCC Community Festival Concert on Saturday, May 4, at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in South Bend, 333 N. Main St. No tickets required, admission is free.


Celebrating its 11th year, the Notre Dame Children’s Choir will perform with children from the community joining us for the day and welcomes a choir of alumni from the NDCC to the concert program featuring six choirs with children from ages 6-18.


Mass Interpreted for the Deaf in South Bend

4:00pm – 5:00pm

An interpreted for the deaf will be present this Saturday evening, May 4 at the 4pm Vigil Mass at St. Matthew Cathedral, 1701 Miami St., South Bend, IN 46613. An interpreter from Community Services All Deaf (CSAD) provides ASL (American Sign Language). St. Matthew Cathedral Parish and the Diocesan Deaf Ministry partner to offer these Masses:

• 1st Sunday of the month: 4pm Saturday evening

• 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays on the month: 11am Sunday morning

Christ Child Society of South Bend Diaper Drop

9:00am – 2:00pm

The Christ Child Society wants to make the lives of infants, toddlers and Moms in our community better, healthier and safer! Remember ALL Moms on Mother’s Day, including those who don’t have clean diapers to soothe their crying babies. Help keep babies dry by donating diapers at the 6th annual Diaper Drop. All diapers will be shared with local partner agencies who serve children. Just drive up and drop off your donation!

The Fort Wayne Chapter of Courage – a ministry outreach for people with same sex attraction – announces its May meeting for Friday, May 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the lower level (Garden Level) of the Archbishop Noll Catholic Center, 915 S. Clinton St. Free parking in the garage.


St. Hildegard Project Sacred Music Concert

The Saint Hildegard Project will offer an evening of Sacred Choral Music from the English tradition on Friday, May 10, at 7 p.m. at Holy Cross Parish, 1050 Wilber St. in South Bend.

O Beautiful Mother

1:00pm – 2:15pm

Join the Ecce Young Adult Choir and Father Ryan Timossi at the outdoor Marian grotto of Catholic Cemetery, 3500 Lake Ave., for rosary, prayers, and Marian hymns to honor the Blessed Mother and to pray for ALL mothers, living and deceased.

Bring blankets and chairs for sitting on the lawn, and you may bring fresh or potted flowers to place before the statue of Our Lady. There will be reserved parking near the grotto for the handicapped. In case of rain, the event will be held in the Resurrection Mausoleum on site.

May Crowning and Picnic

Young adults (age 21-35) of all parishes are invited to celebrate the month of Mary with a May crowning ceremony, free picnic dinner, and lawn games at Our Lady of Good Hope on Thursday, May 16, from 6-9 p.m. We will begin in the church for prayer and process outside to crown Mary and celebrate. In case of rain, event will proceed in the gym. Little ones welcome!
