Ephphatha Women’s Retreat 2024

12:00am (02/02) – 12:00am (02/04)

The entire weekend and culture of Ephphatha is to, “Do whatever He tells you.” — John 2:5

Every aspect of the weekend is prayerfully discerned to create an ambience of “openness.”

Everything is stripped down to be simple yet lovely. To let the beauty of love – from the One who loves you most – shine through every action, every class and every word surrounding the retreat.

Team tries to anticipate any needs you may have while on site and provide for those needs, so that you can truly let go and be open to His Will for your time with Him.

Our goal is to illuminate paths previously traveled by Saints in order to give you tangible next steps to take home with you. Methods to apply to your real world life to help you be as open as possible to His Will; to be moved to action in His name.

Wherever you are on your personal Ephphatha journey, we are here to help you be opened further & moved farther.

We will begin at 8:45 with Compline (Night Prayer) from the Liturgy of the Hours, followed by a simple holy hour of candlelit adoration. The church will be dark and quiet, but the Light of Christ will burn in our hearts.

FEMM Introduction for young adult women

7:00pm – 8:00pm

If you are a young adult woman interested in learning more about what a healthy fertility cycle looks like and how to track your biomarkers, please join a free, four-session workshop series on the campus of Saint Mary’s College. There is no need to register. Come to the first session described below and decide if you want to continue. Co-sponsored by Marriage & Family Ministry, Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, and the Department of Nursing Science, Saint Mary’s College. For more information, including directions on where to park, please visit www.diocesefwsb.org/femm.

Participants are introduced to FEMM (Fertility Education & Medical Management) as a model for women’s reproductive health, presented by certified FEMM instructors. A woman’s reproductive health is closely tied to the state of her general health and to the delicate interplay of certain hormones within her body. The sufficient production of these hormones can be tracked throughout each cycle, as indicators of both health and fertility. FEMM enables women to become informed participants in their own healthcare. Presenters will field questions at the end of the session. In addition, a sign-up sheet will be available at the end of the session so that the instructors know how many women plan to track their biomarkers. Refreshments will be served at the end of the workshop.
