Holy Thursday Seven Churches Visitation

At the conclusion of every Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper, the Eucharist is processed to an altar of repose. The faithful are invited to join in this procession and then “Remain here and keep watch with me” (Mt 26:38) on the night of the Lord’s passion by spending time in prayer and adoration. Churches remain open into the evening so the faithful can come spend time with Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament. The Seven Churches Visitation is a pilgrimage through which participants visit different churches on this night and meditate on the Seven Movements of Jesus.
