Also referred to as the voucher program, the Indiana Choice Scholarship program provides state funding to families of qualifying students to offset tuition.
Students must meet three criteria:
- The student must have a legal settlement in Indiana
- The student must be at least five and under 22 years old as of October 1 of the enrolled school year
- The student must be a household member of a household with an annual income of up to 400% of the amount to qualify for the Federal Reduced Lunch Program. Eligibility for the Choice Scholarship Program is based on family income (Ajusted Gross Income) as reported on the 1040 of the most recent year’s taxes. Below are the income thresholds for school year 2024-25.

The value (dollar amount) of the Choice Scholarship is the lesser of:
- Tuition and fees charged to the student at the eligible school; or,
- An amount based on 90% of the per-student state funding for the student’s school corporation of residence.
