Daily Notes:
Chaperones must do room checks at 10:30 p.m. All youth must be in their room by 10:30 p.m.
Chaperones should ensure youth have received their medications and that they have been recorded on the pilgrim’s medication forms.
Wake up is at 7:30 a.m.
● All pilgrims should be ready to leave by 8:30 a.m.
Breakfast will be served at your hotel.
Blue 6, Orange 4, and Yellow 3: VIP Zurique breakfast begins at 7:00 a.m. All our group cannot fit for breakfast at the same time, so please come down early if you want to be sure you’ll have a seat. If you come to breakfast after 8:00 a.m., please bring your luggage down with you.
Hotel Roma breakfast (Bus 2 Rose) + Land-only begins at 6:30 a.m.
Red 5 and Green 1: Breakfast begins at 7:00 a.m. VIP Entrecampos
Buses 1,3,4,5,6 (Green, Yellow, Orange, Red, and Blue) must have their baggage ready to go and be checked out of their hotel.
WYD Credentials: Buses 1, 2, and 5 will have their WYD Lisbon credentials passed out in the morning before departure (About 7:30 a.m.).
Pilgrims will receive a water bottle on their way out of the hotel in the morning.

Depart Lisbon for Santarem day trip
10:00 AM
Arrive in Santarem
Visit St. Stephen’s Church and venerate 13th century Eucharistic Miracle
Group will split – half will visit the Cathedral while other half will visit the
museum. Then groups will switch.
12:00 PM
Celebrate Private Mass at Holy Miracle Church of St. Stephen (Address: Escadinhas do Milagre 6, 2000-069 Santarém)
1:00 PM
Collect boxed lunch from Santarem Cathedral
AFTERNOON
Visit the monasteries of Batalha and Alcobaça, UNESCO World Heritage Sites
5:00 PM
Depart for return trip to Lisbon and check in to Hotel Roma
EVENING
Dinner on your own using World Youth Day Meal Vouchers
Overnight in Lisbon

Day 4- Monday, July 31st
- Wake up is at 7:30am
- Breakfast at hotel
- Pilgrims must be checked out, have eaten breakfast, and be ready to go by 8:30 a.m.
- Bus departure is at 8:30 a.m. or just after.
- Chaperones should ensure youth have received their medications and that they have been recorded on the pilgrim’s medication forms.
- Day trip to Catholic pilgrimage sites outside Lisbon, beginning at the Holy Miracle Church of St. Stevens in Santarem where a 13th-century Eucharistic miracle took place, including Mass
- Lunch boxes from Santarem Cathedral included by Verso
- For each bus onload, do roll call with small group.
- Let your bus captain know the status of your group.
- Continue to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites – the over 630 year old Dominican Monastery of St. Mary of the Victory in Batalha and the Monastery of Alcobaça, home to the Cisterian order and magnificent stained glass windows
- Travel back to Lisbon to stay in Hotel Roma, our hotel for a few days.
- Follow Room key / check-in similar to what has been established the last few days.
- Hotel check in- chaperones and group leaders should mark down on your small group sheet what is the room number for everyone in your group.
- Dinner on own using WYD Vouchers.
- Chaperones must do a “Room Check” at 10:30 p.m. They should ensure that their youth are at the hotel by about 10:00 p.m. each night of the pilgrimage.
- Chaperones should ensure youth have received their medications and that they have been recorded on the pilgrim’s medication forms.
- All adult pilgrims are expected to be at the hotel rooms no later than midnight.
